diffrence between b18a/b cams.....
how much of a diffrence is there between the b18a (90-91 130hp) and b18b (142hp) cams? is the where the majority of the power diffrance is between the two motors?
i have a b18a that im rebuildin here in school, and dont have enough $ right now to get crower cams or anything high perfromance... but would it be worth it getin some b18b cams for $30? would i get a few more hp??

You're talking about three things..
90-91 B18A1 130hp OBD-0/Non-OBD
92-93 B18A1 140hp OBD-1
94-01 B18B 142hp OBD-1 (95+ OBD-2)
The differences in all three are caused by slight cam changes, intake manifold design, port size, and engine management (OBD-1 change for 92 model year). The actual head differences between the 92-93 and the 94+ motors are pretty negligible. If you're thinking swapping in B18B cams or other head components, you may be better off saving your money. Gains aren't worth the money, IMO.
If you're rebuilding however, you'd get a better gain and better platform for future mods if you change the pistons (B16/PR3 pistons swap right on and are dirt cheap) and add ARP rod bolts. If you choose to later on, you can convert to LS/VTEC or add nice cams and you'll already have the compression and piece of mind
Pistons...$80. ARP rod bolts...$35.

u know any good places to get the pr3 pistons and arp rod bolts? they're only $35 for bolts. sweet.
i need the pr3 for my LS. need em cuz i just installed cams and need higher compression

ya im acutaly usin my buddy s 97 GSR pistons to up the comp to 10.1:1 ish.. so i wanted to do somethin tot he head... im turboing the ls over the summer to come. when i get enough $$.. but no, you dont think its worth getin the b18b cams? it wouldnt help that much?
I doubt the B18B cams will do that much. I'm fairly certain the cams are almost identical; the power gains in the B18B doesn't just come from the cams, it's a combination of port sizing, cam profiles, intake manifold design (I believe), revised fuel/ignition maps, OBD-1, and other miscellaneous changes. You'd probably be better off with ARP rod bolts (at least) to hold your rods for boost. If you're boosting, having B18B cams over B18A cams won't mean squat. Invest towards your turbo setup instead; the turbo setup will probably cost way more than you'll budget for anyway, all said and done. Trust me on that one
I bought my ARP rod bolts from Tom at Lightning Motorsports. He's on the Sponsor forum somewhere... Screen name is "lightning". $34 shipped, I believe is what I paid. http://www.lightningmotorsports.com/arp.htm
boosted K20: PR3 pistons... The best deal you'll find is in the classifieds. Search for either PR3 pistons or B16 pistons. P30 pistons are good too (slightly higher comp) if you can find a cheap set. New OEM pistons can usually be had for $150-$250 depending where you shop. A few stores have Topline pistons which are ITR and CTR replicas that can be had for relatively cheap. Shop around.
