difficult to replace the master cylinder?
My clutch pedal is starting to squeak...usually when I press it all the way to the floorboard. I took a glance behind my clutch pedan and noticed there is a little slop in the rod that connects to the pedal (i'm assuming this is a rod that connects to the master cylinder? is that right? Well anyway, the rod is looking a little oily. I'm thinking my clutch master cylinder is about to bust....
my question to you guys is...how much is an oem master cylinder (98GSR) and is it difficult to install? Do I need any special tools? How long does this take to change?
Thanks.

As long as you have a factory manual it shouldn't be very difficult.
You should make sure that it's not just a seal going before replacing the whole thing.

It's a pretty easy and straight-forward fix. When I did mine (~6mos. ago), the dealer wanted an obscene amount of cash for the OEM clutch master cylinder. I bought and "aftermarket" part -- actually, it's just a rebuilt factory unit, for ~$35. You don't really need the Helms, but I did use mine. After you're done, just make sure to bleed it like crazy, to get all the air out of the lines. The toughest part, to be honest, was the stupid cotter pin on the pedal linkage.
Drop me an e-mail if you need a hand.
