Default Differences o2 sensors

I have a 01 gsr motor in my crx but i converted to obd1 (94-95) for bar.

My question is can i use any honda/acura 4 wire o2 sensor or do they read differently? I've read somewhere a while back that i can use 98 civic ex o2 sensors (cheaper) and it will still work, but it's a different part number from a 94-95 gsr. Also the obd2 gsr front sensor has a different part number from the obd1 gsr's.

I'm having an issue passing smog and i believe this may be the cause. Maybe the sensors have different heat ratings or something?

Can anyone shed some light on this please?

cheaper... who know that varies widely on where you get it from, the 4 wires 88-01's are the same deal across the civics and integra's. Possibly the accord and prelude too I've seen lets listed under compatibility when you look online then I've seen some that say only for obd2 cars which is a joke as I took my old one out from a gsr I had and used it in my now gsr swapped civic running a stock obd2b p72 for emissions reasons.

Yeah, i was looking on amazon and it says the 98 civic o2 was compatible with the 94 gsr, but i think they're just saying that, yes it will bolt up and the lengths of the wires are about the same, but i think it's possible that the internals are in someway designed for that particular vehicle. Hence the different part numbers from acura/honda..
