Default differences between engine harnesses

does anyone know the difference between a obd2a and a obd2b gsr engine harness? i found that everything plugs up just fine. however, I have an extra 3 pin connector (vtec?) located near the right strut tower. Also, i don't know if the wires are in the same pinhole and/or the same color. parts number are 32110-P72-A03 (obd2a) and 32110-P72-A04 (odb2b).

also, I bought an engine harness from a seller here in HT, but I wasn't sure if it was obd2a or obd2b. is there anyway I can tell?

I am swapping a obd2a gsr swap into a obd2b LS. I know I have to wire up the IAB, vtec, knock sensors. Are all the wires for these things found on the harness connectors next to the right strut tower? if so, do I just run new wires through the firewall because I read that b18b's does not have these 3 things control.

thanks guys!
