differance between muffler and catback?

Hey guys I am planning on getting a muffler for my integra, does it add any horsepower? What is the differance between a catback and a muffler?

..catback is an exhaust system, from the cat, and on back. (directly after the cat)
a muffler is just .. a Muffler
