dent on performance header question
having a dent on headers size of quarter kill performance? and also i was wondering if there is anyway of heating a ceramic dc sport header up until its red and fixing the dent?
How the hell did that happen? But to answer your question that dent should be pretty easy to take out as its accessible from the top...you'd need to heat the pipe till its near red hot and soften out the dent with a metal rod with a soft rounded end on it.

Motorcycle shops can usually pull these dents.

thats true...but usually the pipes aren't that thin...i remember my dad had our fmf fatboy pipe on our dirtbike heated up and the dents pulled out. It wasn't 100% perfect, but it was definately an improvement compared to when it was dented.

seriously, how the hell do dents appear on that location of the header?!...i would understand from the bottom. I'm, thinking they were probably installing it by coming from the bottom and it hit something on the way up?

i already went for the headers. TRASH! such a waste of driving 40 miles. He said $50.00 i got it down to $40.00. Then i saw that its been welded before so i said forget it and walked to my car. Then he came to my car window and lowballed his own headers and said he will do it for $35.00. But i still think its not worth it i rather just wait and buy brand new headers later on.
