Default dc jdm question?

i heard that if u throw a jdm front end on a usdm dc u got to get the radiator support welding is this tru or bullshit? i thought the jdm radiator support bolts on and there is no need for welding is this theory tru? if i was gonna throw a jdm front end on a dc?

yes, you have to weld it on.

You can get away with only welding on the top half if you want, but this will require a little bit of cutting.

The radiator support does bolt on to mounting holes in the DC chassis. However at that point after it's lined up, you really REALLY should weld the spot welds back together.

that is half true and half not true. half true in that you CAN get away with NOT welding it on, but once you start taking turns, you're going to feel it if not see it.

Not true in the fact that I've WATCHED someone ( over a period of a month ) replace a radiator core support on a eg hatch without re-welding the new one on.......later, when he tried to do an oil change, he decided to use the jack point located underneath the radiator core support.......I watched part of the front end starting to rip right off the car ........then again, maybe he just did a **** poor job of puttin the rcs back on But with that in mind....people telling you to weld it back on could be coming from a safety standpoint. Afterall......better to be safe than sorry. I had the body shop weld mine in.....I wasn't going to risk anything.
