Default db8 k20 question

I am trying to decide if I am going to turbo my gsr or do a k20 swap. My question is, has anyone done a k20 swap and keep a/c? I am wondering if it is possable. any pics would be helpful too!

I might not help you with your K20 question, but if I bet most would say to boost and I agree, you'll spend less boosting your car, and it'll make more power sooo...

turbo will be cheaper and faster.

a/c is possible in most swaps and im sure it is in a k20 swap. Its just going to require some customizing.

go with k20 swap. a/c is possible im sure. losts of people have gsr turbos. but when you got a k20 swap, more compliments, more rare, more reliable.

While a turbo could net more HP than a naturally aspirated K-series motor, the throttle response from even the smallest of turbos fails in comparison to the throttle response from a healthy N/A built K-series. It is for this reason that I am building a naturally aspirated motor for my DB8. My DB however, will be a gutted and caged race car weighing in at 2,300 pounds with gas, and no driver. The car will not need more than 225whp to be obscenely fast on most road courses and auto-x tracks, and a well built 85mm by 87.2mm B-series motor could more than get me to that goal. I have considered a K-20 motor, as well as a small turbo setup for my B-series, but ultimately find them to be more than my setup requires.

Plan ahead for your build, and choose the motor that will suit your needs the best. As for the A/C working, I am sure it has been (or can be) done.

true, turbos give more power and are cheaper, but here in New Mexico there are only two other k swaps driving around. Sad to say, I am still torn on what to do! is there anyone driving a k20 swap that can vouche for the power and reliability?

i think the engine itself can vouch. as long as you do everything right in the conversion. its well worth it. i mean newer motor, newer technology, everything is better! i wouldnt even consider not doing it unless its bec i couldnt afford it. but sense you can, DO IT!

Turbo would be faster and cheaper. and the process of the swap could be a big headache. if you got the time and money i would do the swap. but turbo would be the quick and easy way.
