Re: DB7 “Budget” Build Thread
From my take on that video
Dude miscalculated and hit someone's rear driver side car. Please note the sloppy shifter and no seat belt. Please also note how it seemed like a normal everyday thing for this guy as he casually exits the civic.

Re: DB7 “Budget” Build Thread
Bulbs are LED not HID.. haven’t gotten flashed at yet.. Don’t see much glare.
Im doing this for fun and going to keep this car for awhile. Maybe eventually will change some things up but for now it’s a little weekend fun/learning car as I’ve never really done any modifications to a car before.
Here’s how it sits now.
Also the Ktuned K1s are in perfect working condition. My purchase is justified and was worth it in my eyes, have a friend with teins and they are too soft... only cheap part I have right now are the tie rods and they aren’t even that bad of quality...

My comments weren't made to put your build down. You do your build and enjoy doing it. That's what really matters. At the end of the day, my opinions are meaningless.

Re: DB7 “Budget” Build Thread
So ran in to my first mechanical problem today. Went to drive the car and the clutch pedal went straight to the floor. It still springs back up though. The car doesn’t go into gear. Don’t know where to start with this one.. lol

I would start with the clutch slave reservoir. Make sure it has fluid, line didn't pop, maybe even bleed it just to be safe. Its right on the firewall so a easy check. If that looks ok look at the clutch pedal inside the car to make sure nothing disconnected. Again easy steps to verify its okay. After that its the clutch arm at the bellhousing.

Check the movement of the clutch arm while someone presses on the clutch pedal. Chances are there's almost no movement. I'd say your clutch disc cracked at the springs. A new clutch and flywheel is probably going to be your solution. The fact that you said the pedal springs back out tells me the hydrolics are still functional.

Re: DB7 “Budget” Build Thread
Im thinking its the master.. pedal just snaps to floor and stays there now. master and cylinder are cheap on kseriesparts.com.. like 50 bucks, just going to replace those and see

Not a bad idea. Also make sure to get the line that goes from the reservoir to the clutch slave. its a cheap part and that line deteriorates over time. My fluid kept going black with even new fluid. Found out the hose was causing the discoloration

Re: DB7 “Budget” Build Thread
Replaced master and slave today, everything is back to normal
I think it was the slave, when I took it off it was covered in brake fluid, and the little rod just fell right out.. lol
oh well, its fixed.

Re: DB7 “Budget” Build Thread
When the pedal returns back, it's usually a hard clutch issue.
