dash clock is out... need help

dash clock is out... need help
ok my dash clock is out and its really bothering me.
dash clock went out after i installed a new deck/head unit. even after i removed the head unit it still wont work.
checked the fuses- good
checked the wires- good
the funny thing is when i first stick the key in the ignition and turn it once, the clock turns on then dies after 1 second. same thing happens when you start the car also.

hah, mines just went out too. It just froze at "1:00"...i probably just gonna replace it.
unless somebody knows what the problem is and wants to tell me how to fix it!

the block off plate is even worst! i dont get why would you put that on a DD.
yeah mines the same thing...it stays at 1:00 and goes on until your turn off the car.
