Default Damn CODE 90!!!

I have had this problem for almost 4 months. If I drive my 01 GSR right after start up (letting it warm up for a min or two then driving it) and I drive it regular, no high reving, etc. It throws a code 90. If I let it warm up COMPLETELY, (water temp little less then half) and then drive it, I have no change engine codes. This only happens when its cold outside. Not freezing but not 100 degrees. Mostly at night when returning from the GF's house or after school when someones nagging me for my parking space and I have no time to warm up completely. What the hell is it???? All I do so far is pull the ECU back up fuse and clear the code. Also, I did a head swap and then added a VAFC 2 (I thought this might have been the problem) but I am not currently completely stock. Everythings hooked up. Smog and all. Any thoughts????

Thanks, I know what the code is, I am just wondering what it could be in terms of repairing it.

Gas cap. this also occurs when you fill up your gas tank and leave the car on. try it. im about 80% sure thats what it is.

leaking gas cap is what i was about to say go to an emmissions testing place and ask them to check your cap. if its not the cap i'd have to say its probably somewhere in the vapor lines. it sucks to try to find evap leaks.

Thanks for the respomse. I was thinking the same thing and when it came to smogging the car, I was thinking that they test it and that it would be bad and that would be my answer. But, it passed. I will try and get another and see if it happens.

you can also get that code if you top off your gas tank. the ecess fuel flows back down to your evap two way valve. if this is the case you have to replace the 2 way valve and bypass solinoid.
