I have a 1994 DA9 with a ls motor & trans 5-speed. My sis had it for like a week and now it is not working lol I don't know what she did? but yea, when I could start... or try and start it it was making a sound like it was shooting air out of some where!? and losing power when i hit the gas! now the battery is died but i have another one any ideas? and the oil and water level is good so i dont think there's a hole in the block?...let me know please thanks!!!

 

Not to be specific but it's not a "da9" when it passes 1993. Da's are from 1990-93. You have a dc2

 

So it will start, but will stall if you give it any gas, is that correct?

If so, check the valve timing, you, [your sister] may have skipped a tooth or two on the timing belt.

Do not try and start the engine until valve timing is checked.

Also make sure a spark plug has not "popped" out. 94

ok the timing is cool and the spark pug is cool steel don't know the year but yea let me know please any more ideas!!!

 

Look in the drivers door jamb, [or the door itself] there is a tag with the VIN and date of manufacture, or give us the VIN off the VIN plate on the drivers side of dash. 94

so I looked and it said....DA9 like i said i don't know the year but y do i need to know the year any way's you can put any Honda/Acura part on any Honda or Acura any wayz so haha i got the year wrong big wuup now that yall had your laughs can i get some help?

 

i also tried to change sinsers that did not help i don't know the names of them but the one that has 2 water lines running in to it on the back of the manifold and the one on the fire wall next to the 2 round ones any other ideas??

 

Either give us the VIN or the build date, both are found on the label in the door jamb, without them there is not a lot of help we can give

Although a lot of parts on Honda/Acura are interchangeable not all of them are and not all are interchangeable from year to year.

I assume "sinsers" means sensors, if so, take a pic and post them so we can see what you mean.

Replacing parts before you know what is wrong is an expensive way to troubleshoot a problem. 94

 

JH4DA9358LS028274 and i got the sensors off another da the one on the back of the manifold and the one that is missing on the firewall!? thanks for the help!!
