Default DA swap help?

currently restoring a 90 gs, Body is just about done, interior is a mess though, still searching for some missing parts at the moment

Bought a GSR longblock.

I am using my ls transmission

Do i use a clutch/pressureplate/flywheel/ for a gsr? or an ls?

And other question is, i was going to purchase an obd0-obd1 conversion harness use my p28 chipped, with an aftermarket intake.

What should i do about the distrubutor? Some say cut the extra leg use my obd0, some say swap dizzy internals from my obdo to the gsr.

Does the obd0-obd1 conversion harness allow a direct plug in to the gsr distributor so i wouldnt have to do these things

getting it from rywire or kingmotorsports?

would really appreciate the help so i can do the drop

sounds like you got a lot a head of you... but i'll try to help with what i know.

so for the clutch, it'll depend on the transmission you're using. and since you say ls, i'm guessing it's the original one from the car. so you'll need to get a clutch kit for any 90-91 b series. the difference is the teeth count 90-91 is different from 92+

i think the distributor is going to depend on what wiring harness you are going to be using. i think the best bet would be to get a complete gsr intake manifold with the wiring, a gsr distributor, and then get the obd0-obd1 jumper harness for the ecu.

i'll need some more info on what and how you're planning to do this swap for more info.

thanks man, you are talking about the teeth count on that main piece from the transmission going through the clutch/pressure plate/ and into the flywheel bearing correct? and wondering would i need to use the flywheel for a 90-91

i have a 90 gs, with the stock transmission

with what you said with the intake, the problem is a p72 won't work with my chassis harness, so i need to used the chipped p28, in which case i hear you will have problems with the infamous butterflies of the stock gsr intake used without a p72 ecu, so i was going to use a skunk 2 intake/throttlebody to eliminate that

the main concern is the distrubutor, i am wondering if an obd0-obd1 conversion harness from rywire, will plug directly into the gsr distrubtor?

if not i was wondering, should i cut the extra leg on my obd0 distrubutor and use it, or swap dizzy internals from my obd0 to the obd1 gsr distrubutor

i'll need some more info on what and how you're planning to do this swap for more info.

are you talking about my da?

but yeah the flywheel, it doesn't matter all flywheels are the same. i heard that type r ones are 12 pounds compared to the 18 pounds. umm i really don't know about the rywire conversion harness, you should call them they'll be more help since they made it.
