Default DA or DC??

I think I know which one to get, but I wanted to see what other honda people thought. I found 2 really good deals. 1 is 94 DC with a good amount of body damage here's the link http://reno.craigslist.org/cto/1570706844.html I offered him a grand. The other one is 91 DA all stock and the only thing wrong with it is a dent on the driver side fender and i would be getting it for almost nothing.
What do you think??????????

I like DC, but people who own DA's will say DA. Just get whichever you like better, as long as it's in your price range. Pass on the POS in that link, though.

the DC does have plenty of damage that will cost quite a bit of money more than what the car is worth & all that $ can buy u a better one. Another thing, you dont know the damage done to the frame of the car. Can be dangerous.

I have a DA. Love it everyday and everyway. The sexy curves of the front end are super clean and replacement parts are super cheap! You cant find too many clean DA's anymore without being riced out or at a junkyard. I think the sexiest thing about the DA though is that there is no frame around the glass windows on the doors. So when you open the door, its really just the door and to me i think that looks really clean.

Dont get me wrong. I also want to get a DC as well but my DA will always be my baby haha. DCs were made I think for about 7 yrs (mayb 8) theres ton of them still around. DAs were made for 4. And if one day you come across a b17 gsr, dont think 2x and buy it.

Judging from the pic, the DA sounds like the better deal.

That DC needs waaaayyy too much work. I would give that guy with the DC 500 and nothing more. I would go with the DA.

I like both but love my DA. It's a tough decision whether I'd rather have a DA or a JDM DC though.

I guess it's all preference but I've had my DA for a while now and couldn't imagine getting rid of it.

Thanks all I am going to go with the DA I like the fine lines DOHC and Swap options. Also the interrior is nicer than my old EF hatch. The only thing I dont like about the DAs is the stock ride height, but thats an easy fix. After I get it straight to the junk yard to find a new driver side fender then to the engine bay. I can't do any swap for awhile, although im thinking LS/VTEC H22 or just a NA fully built from the grown up B18B or B18A. Ive driven a fully built B18 DA and I thought it felt faster than any VTEC I've driven.
What do you think????

B18b1 with b16 or gsr tranny at least that's what I'm doing I'd avoid garbage can VTEC it just isn't reliable and the few more hp just isn't worth it IMO h22 would be hella expensive on the da chasis I would think keep it b series if you really must have vtec get a b16a or gsr forced induction is another thing to think about really just depends on budget and hp goals and if the car will be daily driven or not remember cheap reliable fast pick two lol

ive owned a da and a DB7, which is the same **** as a DC just a 4 door. I really love my da, and my db7 was nice and fun to drive as well. It really comes down to what your budget is. Dont buy a DC for 1k thats going to require ALOT of work, when you can buy a da for 1k that is farley clean

because the older model is more than half the price. My "inferior" da out runs and out handles dc's all day long

This is all a matter of opinion...it really depends on your preference. I look at it like this: my 99 GSR is getting a little old and outdated and a DA is even older and further outdated in design. Again, its a matter of preference...check the sig...you'll see where my allegiance falls

Since about the mid nineties 'newer' stopped meaning 'better' when it comes to cars, IMO. I'd rather have my GS-R than an RSX-S or new Si any day, and I believe a DA owner who'd rather have a DA than a DC.

sounds like for the op its not as much about preference as it is budget. Probably better to buy a clean da than a ugly dc

I think the DA engine bay is easier to work with. You can also get an obd0 b16 and have a nice clean JDM swap. or if its a 92-93 go with obd1.

but thats ur preference and I respect that.
