DA brake issues
Hello.. im having 2 problems...
1) my brake pedal is going all the way to the floor after i almost smoked a guy who slammed on the brakes yesterday. the brakes still work as long as i keep pumping the pedal which is making me think its the master brake cylinder. is this true???
if so is it simple to swap it out with a new one and just bleed the system?
2) i was gonna change all my pads/rotors since i was on brakes anyway and my front left rotor is now kinda stuck... the 2 screw you take out to pull the rotor out are mushed in pretty bad and the impacts just spinning like crazy...so do i have to drill them out? and if so how do i restore the thread back into the holes for the new rotors?
Sorry for the noobish questions but any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.
....i hate having my car parked.....stupid minivan...

If your car has ABS and there was air in the ABS system, you could have introduced it into the normal brake system. Are you losing any brake fluid? Have you bled the brakes?
You can drill the rotor screws. Don't worry about reinstalling them.

Why are you using an impact gun on Phillips head screws? You can try using an impact driver to remove the screw. They only cost about $10-$15 and they're made specifically for your problem...D
so i shuld just bleed the system? dont need to buy a mas brake cylinder?
and why shouldnt i worry about reinstalling the rotor screws?

I would try bleeding first. If it doesn't work, consider the master cylinder.
Regarding the Phillips head rotor screws, they are not necessary. The lug nuts hold the rotors to the hub. The screws just hold the rotors during assembly.
