I'm going to be building my LS head in the spring and I'm wondering what you'd think of using a CTR TB instead of a overbored LS TB or stock TB. I believe it's 3mm larger, but not too sure. Thanks!

 

i'm pretty sure all B-series throttle bodies are 60mm stock. the ITR uses a 62mm bore stock.

i would think the CTR might use the same size as the ITR......probably 62mm as well..........you can have the stock LS T/B bored out to 64mm easily and it would probably cost less to do as well.......

 

Yep, I had my LS done to 64mm by RC engineering. Bought it through http://www.nrg-racing.com

Cost $225 + my core t-body.

 

Seems pretty pricey... I think I'll wait till the head is built and decide at that point if I want to drop the cash on the TB. Thanks!

i have heard ctr and si throttlebodies are the same. i have never measured them so dont take my word, but i think you are better off with your ported ls tb.

 

LS TB 58 mm

 

ls tb's and first gen b16 tb's are 58 mm. all other b-series tb's are 60. except R's, which come in at 62
