ctr head and itr head
im planing to get a v tec head on my ls block and i no that usdm b16 head vs a itr head is basicly the same but if it was the other way alround with the jdm head which 1 would be the better choice jdm ctr our jdm itr?
oh and when it comes to jdm whatever i think those are hyped up...i dont understand how a usdm type r has 195hp while the jdm one has 210. according to the manual.
They are the exact same thing except the one cam which is different by a little bit depending on the ITR year.. Same head casting, same IM, same valvetrain, same P&P.

Because Japan doesn't have as strict emissions, so the JDM one has different pistons and a header(98+).

hm interesting...you would think that it would be stricter with the population density...amazing how they squeeze that extra 10-15hp...

Their a big island all the smog just gets blown out to sea anyways, lol, slowy drifts over to California as revenge for the bombing, thus just adding more to the already existing smog problem there. They get radiation posioning, Cali gets pollutant poisoning.
I'm not saying that is all that makes the 10-15 hp, I'm not sure of everything but I think also the ECU fuel mapping is different, again because of emissions, which I also think they have higher octance gas over there too.

B16B is a CTR and has the same head (besides the intake cam) as the ITR.
B16A is not a CTR and the head is inferior. (port and polish, intake valves, valve springs, LMAs)
