Depends on the money, what car do you have?I am assuming a civic/hybrid.If you already have a Gs-R head a Ls or B20 block wouldn't be a bad idea.It is all about what will make you happy and what your goals are.I have seen some plots on here of b20/vtecs making 235whp na,but that will cost a lot of money and is high maintenance.

actually, they are not high maint. as turbo or other forced induction...
much more reliable, just depends on your builder

b20-vtec, all that tourqe and a nice vtec pull hehe

For the money, I would just do a B20 turbo setup w/ a reinforced block...CRVtec's are fun and all, but if you want to do it right, it's going to cost you a lot of money. I know of one guy who runs a CRVtec and runs low-mid 13's, but he's also poured almost $6K into the motor alone; its a daily driver though and I'm assuming done right. I've also heard of a CRVtec that runs high 12's...but the guy has to have a valve adjustment done like every week...it's just not worth the time or money. A B20 turbo will, dollar for dollar, be just near as reliable as a CRVtec assuming both are done correctly.

I have a 96 GSR.. some people adviced me to just bore the cylinder wall of the stock block of the gsr rather than going crvtec... will that be a good idea?? which one will cost me less and more reliable?? thankz

There is a reason I said high maintenance. The car I am refering to that lays 230 something down n/a, is an all motor 11 sec car.I am under the impression it is extremly high maintenance,to the point that there are multiple valve jobs needed to be done every week. So,In this guys case,No,It probably won't be high maintenance. But if you wanted to go really extreme then Yes,It would.
