Default Cruise control help...

I know most of you guys are in to big power. I bought my 89 Integra LS automatic, for a daily driver. I have a 100 mile round trip commute to work and my other vehicle gets 12mpg. Now to the point, my cruise control is not working. The switch on the dash lights when pushed but the cruise will not engage. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jeff

The rubber/plastic piece on the brake pedal may have broken. check to see if the switch that detacts if you have touched the brake is missing this plastic piece. You can order a redesigned plastic plug from acura for about $1.

The brake switch appears to be intact. What's the best way to test if the switch is actually functioning?
