Crower Cams
I want to get Crower cams for my '96 LS. Of course I would also be getting the upgraded springs and Ti retainers. I have no clue about this kind of work though. (I am not educated on the all motor topic). With the following setup I list below, what model Crower Cams can you suggest to me?
Thermal R&D Exhaust
DC Sports 4-2-1 Header
Comptech Ice Box
STR fuel rail with AEM regulator
STR cam gears (tuned at -4, +2)
APEXi S-AFC (dyno tuned for optimal horsepower)
I also am curious about what kind of horsepower gains I may see after I tune the setup with the new cams on the dyno? Thanks for any info.

i plan on a custom grind a little wilder than the 404's. 404's with bolt-ons and stock compression make about 150whp. i think the 403's make like 140 but theres alot more potential with the 404's. also look to raise the compression up
403s are a great ls cam you can make 150+ with them with p+p and a 4-1 cam gears. and a tB a milled or high compresion pistions you will max out at a little over 160 hp. The 404s with crower tell use on there web site make 8% more hp with the right p+p head and 4-1 header high compresion head match ported tb 3in cai and i good exhaust dyno tuning sfc and light you could make well over 170 hp with some killer TQ . If you go with crower cams you must do a gsr tranny upgrade. do not do the b16a of type r tranny upgrade there geared for cars with no tQ under 6000 rpm where as the ls will make a good deal of tQ all the way up from 4500 rpm 6800 rpm which by that point the hp has taken over on these cams and you will make great power up to 7500 rpm dont rev over 7600 rpm its just not worth killing a ls motor and un like the b16 and b18c1and 5 you will make power well before them in your dyno chart so theres no need to rev like a gsr any how.vtec is Ok and all but the reasion why b16/b18c5 rev so high is cuz they dont make any power down low.the gsr has a ok low end for a honda but it will not match that of a b18bs bottom end 9 times out of 10. Sorry for the long post hope i helped

i also have the 404's in my ls motor, with a 4-1 header, clutch and 9lbs flywheel i ran 14.1. with 555r drags, the motor is in a 91 hatch though. i say get the 404's, imo there perfectly streetable.
What do you guys think......about
Crower 62403 with LS motor and Drag III turbo kit (12PSI or so)?
Crower 62403 with LS motor and Drag III turbo kit (12PSI or so)?
check them out......
oh yeah..... i have seen that on the crower site?
i was wondering what da heck that is?
so would it be possible that i can use the 62402T for NA a while before i turbo it??
that's one of the reason why i am going with 403's... coz i can do NA and then turbo it later on

ya you can use it for N/A for a while........probably will be an improvment over the stock cams.
would it be possible for you to find me a dyno of 402t's VS stock or 403's turbo??
i would like to see how much more HP would 402t turbo vs 403 turbo would make?
Thanks
the 402t's are pretty new and i doubt you can find many dyno runs with them. the 403's are kinda of a N/A cam so most of the dyno runs you find will be N/A...

anyone running the 405A's on the streets? if there is, did you check your valve to piston clearance before
installing them....
