Default cranking problem!!

I have a 94 Integra LS automatic and every now and then, the car just wont crank. The battery, starter and alternator are all good. This has happened twice already, and both times I have to leave the car alone for TWO HOURS before it could crank again. I even took my car to the shop and all they said was "Well the car is running now so you shouldnt have any problems." yeah like that was helpfull.. but if anybody has any ideas on what the problem could be then feel free to leave comments....

Next time it happens, you'll have 2 hours to get your multi-meter so you can look for the flaky connection.

Check whether you get battery voltage at the starter signal wire when you turn the key to 'start'.

Check whether you have any substantial voltage drop across ANY of the big cables. Battery (+) & (-) along with the big engine/body ground.

Hit the starter with a broom handle or something.

If you can't figure it out from there, post back with the results of each of these checks.

Funny, but true, I had a dead spot in my starter on my 94 gsr. Had to be replaced, but yes, JimBlake is right, get out the tester. If you don't own one, go buy one. It's like a mans best friend.
