B18B1 crank fluctuation code. I know the wires can rub causing all the codes, misfires, ect... thats not it. This is what i dont get. They all started when I was driving and my rotor button came loose and smashed up in my cap. I replaced the cap and button, put a bolt in the button to hold it that the person before me failed to do. Started it up, runs fine with slight misfires. My question is what was cause those codes from that happening in my distributor? I checked the wire on the plug to the distributor, its fine, im stumped on this. Help guys!

P1300, P1301, p1302, p1303, p1304, p1336, and p1337 are the codes

 

You are having misfire codes after damage to the top end of your distributor, I'm guessing the smashed rotor and cap caused more damage than you originally thought. Is the plastic shield that goes under the rotor still in place?

 

your crank fluctuation sensor is what's throwing the misfire codes. let me guess, car is not actually misfiring, is it?
you need to test the csf sensor. it's a simple PM generator located in the oil pump housing. find a wiring diagram for it and test for voltage at the ecm. you can use a test light even. with the vehicle running, light should pulse. however, an oscilloscope would be the correct tool to use, since the light only confirms signal, but not quality of signal

 

@grjr the cover was still their, cracked though. I took all of the guts out of the distributor and checked them for breaks and cracks and in the wires too and put them in a new shell. Is their something inside the distributor that has to do with the fluctuation sensor?

@el crapitan And i doubt its the actual sensor since it happened exactly when my rotor button came loose. And it does have a misfire now too after these codes came up

 

The crankshaft fluctuation sensor is at the front of the crankshaft, the distributor has nothing to do with it. It's hard to say what the exact problem could be with the distributor, it could be an incorrect air gap, bent shaft, the cracked cover, a damaged coil, icm... etc. If you can get a hold of another distributor to try out I bet your misfires would disappear. I myself once had a failing ICM cause misfire codes.
