cooling problems
ok, i think my car is living. so a year again my car overheat in a traffic jam..the first time ever. i went home and filled it with water and it did not over heat until 6 months later. i was told by friends it was a a bad thermostat. so i replaced with a factor one. the car still over heat. and while this is all going on there is no water leaking. so i took it to a radiator shop and the guy ran a head gasket test, water pump test, check to see if the fan turned on at the right time and they are passed. so puzzled by this i took it to a honda only shop and they could not get the car to over heat. so i just dealt with the over heating every once in a while.....a few months again it started to leak water and it was a major leak.....i would have to fill the radiator everytime i wanted to use the car. i did this for a month and then the leak just stoped. no i am totally lost on what the next step is to fix this car. i dont understand how it can leak and then fix not leak....no the leaking water is hot or miss. sometimes it leak sometmes it dont ....ready to pull out my hair.can anyone help me wit this problem. thank alot
could be turning into steam and vanishing.. i had a problem like that with my old buick, i replaced the radiator, then the heater core. when the heater core went out i had antifreeze pouring into the interior carpet, and steam comming from all over. you could look into some stop-leak stuff you can get anywhere, like walmart. pour a bottle into the system and it should plug any small leaks like blood clots.
