Yeah... nice strut bars are nice strut bars. I have a Skunk2 in the rear and its a nice piece.

well depends. a solid strut bar will yield better performance over a hollow one. many bars are made for "universal" fitment, in that the ends can pivot. this increases flex and almost defeats the purpose of the bar.

so i can put the GS-R strut bar on a Type-R and you wouldn't notice a difference? when in fact the type-R strut bar is much better because even tho it is hollow it has an X frame internally? where as the GS-R bar is just a pipe. not flamming.

The Comptech is pure Billet 6061-T6 Aircraft Quality Aluminum that's CNC Machined to perfection! It's a really sweet piece...although, some company called MBE MotorSports has pretty much copied it exactly for about half the price at $125.

true. comptech's stuff is expensive. but i believe they have a lot of R&D into their products and i ahve heard fitement is excllent. anyway before you buy look at each one and see how they are made. yes there are bars better than the comptech. the neuspeed 4 point strut bar has been liked a lot.
you have to remember how the bars are actaully made...they are ment to keep body from twisting and thats all , and also i say they all work the same for what they are made for.. if any1 can twist there frame enuff to snap a stock gsr then i will shut up on the strut bar topic forever and buy myself a 300 dollar strut bar

maybe no one has flexed the chassis enough to snap a GSR bar because the GSR bar itself flexes a lot, and moves with the chassis. i'm not tryin to be a dick. just opening windows on the view.

I have a comptech strut bar on my 94 GSR, it is alot stiffer than the stock GSR bar without a doubt. I agree that with any quality strut bar you couldn't tell the difference between brands. Right now, there is a Comptech Strut Bar on ebay for a very reasonable price. It is for a 94-01 teg:
