comptech springs
I want a drop of 1.3 inches and I'm looking at the comptech sports springs. They are $179 a set at their site. can someone post a better pic(sideways) of how it looks like? Do they sack over time? how's the preformance?
according to the site where i got the picture from yes they are. regarding the shocks you probably won't change them right away anyways seeing as a lot of people don't but i reccomend getting some new ones.
If they are (as I suspect) stiffer springs than stock, then I would say YES, definitely get firmer shocks. I picked up some type-R springs, and I'm currently looking at buying KYB AGX shocks before I put them on my car. Two reasons:
1) Stiffer springs require higher damping rates. Otherwise, the suspension is prone to oscillation, and will be unsettled (especially on bumpy roads).
2) You're going to wind up getting upgraded shocks at some point anyway. Why not replace them at the same time that you're doing the springs? Otherwise, you double the amount of work.

You have to copy/paste the link since I use geocrap. Sorry about the crappy pictures. All I have is my friends crappy digital cam.
You don't HAVE to get new shocks but over time the stock shocks will give out and you'll have to get new ones anyway so why not do it right the first time?

as far as i know comptechs are rebadged prokits
Not true - I asked that same exact question on the Comptech boards. However, Eibach use to make the springs for Comptech, but not anymore according to the Comptech dude. They are also cheaper then Eibach Pro-kits
