Compression test
Just rebuild my gsr motor totally stock. My readings are:
1st cylinder 220
2nd cylinder 220 and up the compression tester pops if i crank it more than 5 times at 220
3rd cylinder 220
4th cylinder 130
miles of break in 500 miles so far lose about 1/2 quart to a quart of oil every 200 miles
Spark plugs look grayish
morning start up black stuff spits out of exhaust.
Can anyone shine some light on what the problem is?

looks like your #4 cylinder is jacked. must not be sealing correctly inside. when you first started it did you put a cap full of oil in the spark plug holes? that would help get the pistons lubed up since there is no oil in there otherwise.
hopefully its in your head. Maybe you bent a valve on tb install or something. Pull your valve cover and check the rockers and see how much play there is...I think anything over .10 is bad.
Nope didn't do that at first start up. Is it critical that you do that? It was actually a friend that put the motor together for me. I remember before we put everything back he did a compression test but it didn't read right of course the rings not settled in yet.
