Default compression low...valves bent?

a guy i know is trying to sell me his cousins 96 ls. he said that its 100% stock and 156,000 miles. he told me two valves are bent. he just ran a compression check and these are the numbers

180 130 170 180

i figure a little carbon buildup so some seafoam would be nice..

i havent seen the car, and before i make the 2+ hour trip to look at it wanted to know what you guys thought. would a bent valve make the compression that low in a cylinder?

i've got the chance to pick it up very cheap..but i'm really not looking to do a ton of work to the head.

whats the selling price? small cylinder head job to replace a couple of valves and guides might be worth it. maybe replace all guides and rock a brand new used integra.

its got powdercoated fat fives and an oem itr spoiler, a swaybar and lowering springs, little stuff..

the cousin wants 2,500..but the guy i know.. (whos trying to help his cousin get the car sold and me into one) said i can probably get it for 1,800.

apparently there is a fat stack of records, with the most recent repairs being the timing belt, water pump, clutch, brakes all within the last 5,000 miles or so

maybe a shot piston or two, those numbers are pretty far apart.

mine is 210 200 200 190 on a 1998 ls w. 95k miles.

A leak down test will tell you where it's leaking from!

$1800 is really a good deal even with the bent valves and plus those mods are nice too IMO go for it

then you shouldn't pick this one up, nad if you do, might be easier and cheaper to just drop in another LS longblock.
