Default Compression Help

For 01 GSR are these numbers corret? What is the highest safest compression to run on a 94 gas and daily driveablitiy?
PISTONS are these correct?
CTR USDM 11,6:1 JDM 11;9:1
ITR USDM 11,1:1 JDM 11;6:1
And which of these would make for a good connecting rod?

there is no USDM CTR. and all your figures are wrong. the JDM CTR is 12:1 and the JDM ITR is 11:1. usdm itr is 10:6:1 i believe. what do u mean by "make for a good connecting rod"? you can find out plenty of information about compression by using the "search" function on the top right corner of your screen. for keyword put compression, 94 octane, or compression alone. i did this and came up with a lot of good information.

Hate to jump on your post but it's on topic.. I have heard of a Compression Test, how is this done and by who? Any shop or do they have to have a Dyno? I am assuming that the cmopression test will tell you your ratio? Thanks

A compression test is a diagnostic test used to check the condition of an engines combustion chamber. It can be done by anyone with a socket set and a compression tester. It does not really tell you anything about CR however.

Here a link for you on compression test: http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/c...t/comptest.php

Great info Eva, I purchased a car that was already modded. Is there a way to find out what the compression ratio truly is on a car without taking the pistons out?

I don't think so...If you it has stock pistons then somebody on the board would probably know the CR. But if you're not sure if the internals have been modified then your guess is as good as mine because you need variables such as bore, stroke, piston dome displacement...ect. to calculate the CR.
