Default common heating problems with b18s?

ok so i've been having the worst luck with my car. the cooling system isn't wanting to work with me. first it was my bypass hose(the hose from the thermo housing to the block) so i decided to change out my thermostat while i was at it. then my hose that went from the block to the idle control thing behind the intake manifold blew. and now my thermostat went out. all of this in matter of about three weeks. what could be causing these problems? because i don't want to just replace my thermostat and have it miss up in a few weeks.

If you have a DA like your signature suggests, all those hoses are old and brittle and need to be swapped out. These old hoses breaking can be the cause of your overheating, or just a symptom. If your radiator cap has loss the ability to release pressure at the required amount, then the increased pressure in the system can burst the weak hoses. Does your system boil over into the resevoir? Are you loosing coolant constantly?

Swap all the little hoses out under the throttle body and IM, and also check your radiator and heater hoses. Install a new radiator cap, a new thermostat (if its faulty) and bleed the system properly.
