combat kit install NEED HELP!!
Well i bought a used combat kit front bumper(fiberglass) off of a guy from honda-acura.net. I had to wait a while before i got it but i finally did. So tonight i ditched a class(a lab no less), to try & put it on to check the fitment. It's already painted my color, but its in kinda bad shape so i want to repaint it. But first i'd have to check the fitment.
So.. continuing with the story... i took off my bumper cover and try to put it on only to find that the styrofoam has to be removed which didn't bother me. Then it still wouldn't fit so i removed the plastic inserts that go in below the headlights. Still it wouldn't fit. So now, i think i'm faced with having to cut off part of the metal a little past where the black plastic thing used to be, (below the headlamp assemblies). But i haven't done that yet, cuz i wanna get a second opinion first.
But even assuming i get that figured out, i can't ensure proper fitment you know?
Does anybody have this kit and have experience putting it on??? I did run a search and no luck. Wat am i supposed to do? Anybody have any suggestions, ideas? Or better yet any similar experience? Or did i just get a bogus fitting kit(which i doubt)?
You can see the black plastic piece i'm talking about and the metal portion i'm referring to in the picture below, its the part right below the headlamps.

errrrr combat kit
anyways with most aftermarket kits it usually means take off the front support bar but no;t actually cutting the metal
maybe its for a 98+ headlights style?!?!

Sorrie guys... i better clarify,
1) That is NOT my car. hahah.. i'd be crazy to defile an ITR with anything less than a jdm conv.
2) THe kit has the cupped headlight style & the seller indicated it was for a 94-97
3) I got the kit because when i first talked to the seller to purchase it, i was told it was in great condition and he was agreeing to sell it for a very good price(shipped!).
It sounded like such a good deal that i couldn't pass it up. Now i'm very dissappointed that i couldn't put it on tonight. As far as the front support bar, i never knew we had to take it off.. Is it only the two bolts on either side that hold it up? And won't that severely affect the structural integrity of my car?
Oh yea... B2FINITY, i do go to UCR, if you do you probably have seen my car. It's pretty damn low so its sticks out like a sore thumb. On a side note, if there are other honda-tech members that live around riverside, we oughta have a meet sometime.

That is the bumper support. You can take that out entirely. I believe there are only a few bolts holding it on. They are tight, but that's all that's holding it on.
I believe JDM Integras don't even have that support. You technically don't need it, but USDM cars have it for the crash tests and whatnot. Ya know...that 5mph bumper test, etc.
EDIT: Keep it! Just think.....when you go turbo, where are you gonna bolt up that nice shiny intercooler???

i had to remove that bar to fit my intercooler, oil cooler, piping, cooling fan, etc.....
one or two 12mm (i think) bolts on each side. take them out and pull up on the car. just try not to rear-end anyone.
