Default Coilover opinions

Just picked up my 99 integra RS about 2 weeks ago, looking to pick up a set of coilovers for it.
Just wondering what i should go with as i have no experience with any types
Thinking about lowering it ~2 inches and looking for a good ride, not too worried about performance as its just my DD, got about 750$ to spend

For that price you can get ksport or D2 coilovers, or even Tein.

if you find a good deal, possibly even skunk2 pro-s V2 coilovers. If you buy them new, they will feel very stiff until they are broken in. After that, smooth sailing/ride

i have a 1994 integra rs and i just recently purchased function and form type 1. possibly the smoothed riding coil-overs. my EK hatch has skunk2 pro-s and a friend em2 has progress. I've felt the ride of pretty much most coil-overs. my number one has to be the function and form. not including i picked them up off of eBay for 585.99 shipped to my door.

Read around. Numerous people have had problems. And the reason they ride the same at max damping is because the damping "adjuster" does almost nothing.

some guys have had good luck with progress in the low cost bracket. personally speaking i would and did spend a couple hundred more on koni/gc. purchased in 2008, have had zero issues. they also have a lifetime warranty.

when it comes to shocks the warranty is a big big deal. if one leaks koni has your back

see how far you get with a blown skunk or form function

if you're dead set on being cheap the progress are the same price as form function and from the reviews on here, hold up a lot better.

telling ya though, save the extra 300 and buy koni/gc if you plan on keeping this car long

I've had a lot of corrosion on my Progress sleeves after just a few months. I'm going to be making a post soon in the suspension forum.

definitely worth it for the warranty alone, nevermind the ride

save another 150$ & go with BC racing, 1 year warranty & after that only like 70$ per coilover to have them rebuilt if needed, Since you don't plan on Slamming your car prolly won't ever have to rebuild them, I just Purchased the New Extreme drop version & i love them Great ride quality.

Progress or Koni/GC would be my only choices.

Personal experiences: ksport= bouncy, FF type 1=bouncy & clunky, D2= similar to ksport. skunk2= embarrassing bouncy

I'm on Pogress right now I LOVE this coilover set for my DD. I bought the extra rear spring set for my track days Top notch quality and excellent customer service
