got a new battery and now the radio needs codes..
where will i have to go about getting it?
do i gotta go to an actual dealer?

 

youll have to call the dealer the car was origonally purchesed from and fight w/ the guy on the phone to get it probably

 

what if i bought it off some dude and and he dunno where the original owner bought it from?

Open your glovebox and look on the outside left of it. Should be right there.

Its a white sticker

 

just buy an after market radio there cheap

You lucked out. Only a few times, does the dealer put the sticker there. Most of the time it's given out with the manual in a folder of paperwork. Worst case, you'd have to call/go to your dealer, provide proof of ownership, and based on the serial number, they would give you the radio unlock code.

You're lucky
