Default Code p1457

I recently changed my o2 sensor on my integra, not two days later my check engine light came back on throwing a p1457. I tightened my gas cap three times, and filled up my tank and it is still throwing the code. Anyone have any ideas what else could be going on? fix one thing and another goes

P1457 is a evap leak code for under the hood. p1456 would be the code that would be set if your gas cap was loose.

Anyway, check the evap purge solenoid, it should be mounted to your intake manifold. It will have 2 hoses going to it, one will go to the intake manifold the other will go to the charcoal canister. To test the solenoid, disconnect the 2 pin connector, get 2 wires connect them to the battery ( + and - ) and touch the pins inside the purge solenoid, you should hear it click. If it doesn't, its stuck open or closed. replace it.

If the purge solenoid is good, check the charcoal canister shut off valve. This valve is located on top of your charcoal canister. It has a 2-pin connector also. To test it, do the same thing you did to the purge solenoid. It should click. if not its bad.

The charcoal canister is located at the bottom right of the battery. If these solenoids tested fine. Check all the hoses that go to these solenoids, for cracks, lose ones, etc.
