the only check engine light code i got is Code 6
The:
ECT - Water temperature Sensor

do i have to replace the sensor? or is it cuz the fan isnt hooked up?


anybody ever have this code, if so what did u do?

try hooking the fan up to see if the CEL will go away..if not then you just need to replace the sensor

 

Location of sensor please.
Is it the one on the thermostat housing?

 

I have the same cel. Try the fan 1st. If not, then check the wiring, and it depends on what motor you have. I have a obd-0 LS. I would really appreciate it if someone can post a picture or diagram of the color of the wires for the sensor, seeing to as how the person before me did a wire tuck and for some reason left the water temp sensor out the picture.
