Clutch question
Everytime i release the clutch to engage into a gear i feel a very springy, spongy feeling. I really cant describe it. I thought it was air in the line but I bought a new CMC and then I bleed the lines but it was still there. Any ideas i was thinking it might be the push out bearing or the pressure plate?

Ok I bleed the clutch line and the was not a single air bubble. So air in the line is off the list. Now does anyone else know of what else it could be? How much is a new clutch from acura and does that include the pressure plate? Do you recommend changing a clutch on your own? I would consider myself pretty mechanically inclined? Please I need some feedback this is the most annoying problem!!!

acura charges like 1000 bucks if you get pressure plate and clutch from them and labor for install, they usually replace both master/slave cyl. of the clutch and they also resurface you flywheel.

) The most difficult part is removing the transmission. Read thru that section of the shop manual carefully, to decide if you can do it.
When you buy a clutch kit they usually come with clutch & pressure plate. Probably also throw-out bearing & pilot bearing. But that's a good question to ask when you order/buy the kit.

Ok I talked one of the service advisors at acura today and they told me they were pretty sure the problem sounded like a hydraulic issue. But the master is new and the slave is less than a year. and when i bleed the line i did it till i saw absolutely no bubbles. therefore what else could it be in regards to the hydraulic system???
Did he work the clutch to feel it for himself? That's the part that makes me feel like I'm guessing from here.
Since the master & slave are new, the only thing left is the lines. Maybe the inside of the rubber part is collapsing, so sometimes it blocks off the fluid. Or sometimes it blows up like a balloon, to make the pedal feel spongy. That's what can happen to brake lines if you damage them by letting the caliper hang.
