clutch question
i replaced my oem clutch with a stage 3 6 puck clutch and new pressure plate etc. also a 9 lbs flywheel;.
everytime i down shift now it makes this banging clunk noise but enagges fine and operates perfectly? is this normal or is something wrong?
the car rides smooth and doesnt pop out of gear and everything works as it shold and always did but the clunk sound is there on down shifting.
maybe its cause of the stage 3 setup?
cause the clamp is very aggressive and grips REAL nice, even spins tires cause it engages so good.
just wondering if the clunking on down shift is bad or normal if any1 has inout.
only happens really when heavily down shifting from higher rpms in lower gears.

i have an act six puck unsprung, heavy duty pressure plate, and fidanza 8 lb flywheel and it has a very harsh engagement,im taking the clutch out and going back to a street clutch since my synchros in 2nd and third need to be fixed. its an awesome clutch, the sound your hearing is normal from a teg with that 6 puck, you have to be very careful since its unsprung. act 6 puck unsprung= very harsh engagement you didnt specify if yours was sprung or unsprung..
I have the unsprung. You need to rev match before down shitfing with it or it chatters horribly. Especially if ya have stock mounts. Just takes some getting used to. Hell my lady drives it too
