clutch problem
Last ngiht when i was gettin ready to go home from being out.. i went to put my car in reverse.. and it went.. but then it stalled. i went to put it in first and it went then it stalled.. the clutch was very easy to put down when i shifted.. not like usuall where it has some resistance.. and this morning.. when i went to go to the beach.... the car wouldnt even go into a gear.. and the clutch just goes right to the ground when i put my foot on it.. im sorry if this is a stupid question.. but im a girll.. id otn know much about cars.. i just know that all of a sudden it doesnt work.. and ive been drivin standard for a while.. i dont know if i have to get a new clutch or whats going on.
yea.. ok... how do i do that.. i have no idea where that stuff is.. my dad is a mechanic but hes at work.. i just need to get my car to go.. so i can bring it to my wokr.. any help would be great.
pop the hood and look at the clutch reservoir (inside engine bay closest to steering wheel on the driver's side) and see if there's fluid in it. if not, there's your problem... fill it up and drive it to work... bring an extra bottle with you.
get down under your dash driver side, and feel around your clutch pedal at the top part....if you have a lot of black fluid, then it's more than likely the hydro slave cylinder. This just happened to my friend's 94 LS. His pedal just went to the floor, and was near impossible to drive.........we had to drive it anyway, and burned up the clutch bad. If it is what happened to my friends, then you need to get the slave replaced. good luck
