Default clock & cd player NOT working?

Hello to everyone. I just recently purchased a 96 integra gsr for $3200. I'll post pictures later when I have the time. I've been trying around to fix my clock and cd player, as they are not working. I checked my fuse and they are all fine. What else could be the problem? Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Did you check the fuses under the hood? Same thing happened to me.

Did you check all of the fuses, or just the ones that say radio or clock? Many times there are fuses for circuits that aren't on the label or in the manual. I believe you have an underhood fuse labeled backup (7.5 amp) that is your problem.

OK. Just pulled the backup fuse from my 96 LS. Turned the car on and had no radio or clock. Swap that fuse, if that doesn't fix your problem you might have wire issues. Not likely though. Maybe a bad radio or a crappy install. If you have a really nice aftermarket radio it could be pulling enough current to pop that fuse. If so, you will need to run your own fused power wires to a higher current source. If you have a factory radio it will want a code to turn on after it loses power. You can get the code from Acura over the phone, but they will want the serial number from the deck. I can tell you how to get it out if need be. I'll check back. Good luck!

I looked at all of my fuses, and they look fine to me. I do remember seeing the back up fuse, nothing wrong, but tomorrow I'll just swap that one to see if that's the trick. If not, I'll let you know.

Replace the 7.5A Fuse in the engine bay fuse box. It should work fine right after, it fixed my problem at least.

Ok, it worked! Well, my clock did. I just replaced the backup fuse and BOOM, the clock was on! My i just gotta get my cd player working. I'm assuming it's just the wiring, the previous owner probably didn't know how to wire it up.

It sure did! Now just gotta fix my cd player's wiring, that's my next guess.
