clean engine bay
im planning on spraying degreaser all over my engine bay, rinsing it
then spraying armor all or some other sort of cleaner for a nice shine
...is there anything i need to cover up or avoid spraying?
like battery, distributor, alternator, belts, etc.
or do i juss go in there with my pressure hose and do work????

Cover your electrical stuff and make sure you don't pool water anywhere it would be likely to seep into the engine. Also try to avoid getting water under the valve cover gasket, water in your oil would not be very good, so no close up pressure washing on the valve cover.
As mentioned above, cover up your electrical stuff. You also want to cover up your intake, and any other openings you see that you wouldn't want to get water in. I wouldn't spray any armor all or anything afterwards...degreasing it, maybe scrubbing some spots with a scouring pad/sponge, and then rinsing it will do just fine. I would just do the valve cover separately after you degrease it. Perhaps you could even repaint it to make it look really nice.
