CKF help.
ok guys here is one for yea. my friend and me were switching cam gears. my friend dropped a cam key down the timing belt cover.......he said it wont hurt anything....WRONG.lol well it broke a tooth off the CKF and then i started to throw a code. well i switched to 0bd1 for my tuned ecu. so it did not matter much to me. well now smog if coming up. iI found a write up on how to unplug my CKF and splice it down by the ecu to read off the CFP. well i did that and went to smog. threw a code 71 fail. not happy it keeps throwing it when i hold it at 2500 RPMs for 30 sec. do i need to replace the CKF now? or is there any other way to get around it? thanks for taking the time to read this hope someone can help.

Is this the page you used to bypass it?

If that doesn't work I guess you'll need to replace the CKF.

yes,yes it is.lol still a cel when i hold it at 2500 for 30sec for smog. says i have a missfire in cylinder 1. i changed plugs cap rotor wires and dizzy still same code cmoes on at the same time think it could be the ecu?
I seriously doubt its the ecu. I haven't ever tried to to this trick, but I would double check your work. What is code 71? Does it just throw a cel @2500 in neutral, or when your driving too?
just in neutral at 2500. i just took the long way around it and changed the ckf gear and sensor. passed with flying colors. yay another two years i dont have to worry.lol
