checking fuel pump
Working on getting a 91 integra started. First off I had to re solder the main fuel relay because it wasn't working. Thats working now. Now when I turn the key on I don't hear any noise indicating that the fuel pump is priming. So I have a few questions about this.....
I've read that to check for fuel that you can disconnect the line from the fuel rail.... If I do this I'm afraid that I'm going to spray fuel everywhere, and catch the neighborhood on fire.
another question... I pulled the back seat bottom out. The wire that goes to the pump should be yellow and black. I was expecting a larger single wire. The only wires I see are the bundle that plug into the regulator there on the top of the tank. Is the wire I'm looking to test the small one in that bundle?

The power wire your looking for is a yellow/black wire in the bundle. There is also a yellow one, make sure you don't modify that one. To check for voltage just unplug the connector and use a volt meter, positive end on the yellow/black post, negative on the black or green wire.

I don't think the pump it working. I'm using a test light and probing into the top of the connections on the fuel pump relay. The black and yellow wire (that goes to the pump) stays hot even after the second click. But not a sound from the pump.
