the car is a 94 teg with an h22a.

will the car throw a check engine light if the distributor is going bad or having problem? thanx

EDIT: the reason im asking is because my distributor is making weird noises like the bearing in there is on the way out the door. The check engine light will only come on when i make a hard corner. It's idleing a lot lower than normal as well. I'm not sure if the hard corners and my distributor have any correlation but im sure somebody out there has some experience of something like this.. any help is appreciated, thanx

get the light to come on and take it somewhere with a scan tool, plus if its making weird noises id change it anyway

 

yea im gonna change it out and get the codes checked.. just thought someone might have some experience with something like this.

i pulled the codes and it's a "1" code. Im thinking that's an o2 sensor but the chip that i have in the car (JDMSH1T p28 h22a chip) should delete that code from coming up (i think)... im not really sure whatsup any help would be appreciated.
