Hey, just wanted to know if anyone has had this happen to them. I've got a 98 GSR and I recently have been throwing a check engine code 73, which is a random misfire. I thought that the problem was just my spark plugs and distributor, so I replaced them both and I am still getting the code to come up. The wierd thing is that it comes up for a while and then it goes away. When it does come on and stay on, sometimes it starts to flash and not stop until i turn off the car. The motors got 57000 miles on it and I am at a loss here, can anyone help. Any insights would be much appreciated.

 

did you ask the acura dealer?

 

not sure at all but check your fuses and stuff like that... if it is running bad have a shop run a diagnostic on it. good luck man

 

some cars automatically do that, they come on when it is scheduled for matinence. hold the milage button down while its running and turn the car off, power it back on and it might go away...or try holding it while it's off and hold it till u start it up...it worked on my dad's accord

 

Does the code show up when you jump the service connector. You might just need to reset the ECU and that should clear the code. If the CEL comes on then try trouble shooting it with the 98+ helms.

 

Did you check your plug wires? Plugs gapped correctly?
