CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CODE 9? CYLINDER 1 SENSOR?
I have the problem now. The problem lies in the distributor. I've been experiencing shitty performance and a loss in power especially in the 1-4k rpm range, dunno about you. I just ordered a part from DistributorKing.com for $220 shipped brand new
...hopefully it'll solve the problem!

nope havent noticed a drop of power since the light came on , yea i was thinkin if the sensor can be replaced alone? , rather then to buy another distributor if it wasnt needed
Yea I was getting that code alot til my timing belt blew up, some say its the distributor, which in a way it is, but when I went to Acura they informed me that (this is after my timing belt popped) that they car was attempting to jump timing, and hence throwing the No.1 Cylinder Position code #9 in the ecu, so if I were you that would eb the first thing I look into, just a heads up, id hate for that to happen to anyone else, it sux!!!

i dunno i hear different things...some say you need a whole new housing and some say you can just replace what's inside...but i know you can't buy the sensor separately so i just opted to get a brand new one
oh yeah...anyone know if my loss in performance and shitty idle is related to the cylinder sensor? or is something else the matter here...?

Well if the windings inside on that sensor are coming apart you better believe it will rob performance. Nothing worse then losing one on a desolate road between Reno and Redding Ca. Luckily we had a nitrous bottle to blow the windings all out and made it run the whoel way LOL. But nothing was better than us in Redding try to race every civic for distributors. Of course not with that civic but another one.
My R gave a code 9 as soon as I installed an MSD ignition last night. Hence weird things going on with the distributor. Any ideas?

mine started throwing this code last night and i pulled my dizzy off today and come to find that the person before me (we'll call him forest) didnt tighten the rotor screw and it backed out and ate up the insides
NO good!!

good news if your car is throwing this code and the cylinder sensor is bad use a d16z6 one, it works. I did this last night and its running like a champ and i didnt have to spend 5million dollars on a new dizzy
