Yesterday i just got my car back from the shop and it was driving fine.
After getting gas i turned on the car and the check engine light came on and it was solid. No flashes
What could be the problem because i cant afford to send it in again.

Is it solid as you are checking the code? If so, you have ECU problems. If you're not checking it while it's solid, pull the code first, then we can advise you.
Well, from what you are saying. Take it to a mechanic shop for diagnostics, or you can take it to advance but they will only give you the code. The vehicle has to be hooked up to an OBD2 Scanner, the link for this is under your dash (place where they hook up for you emissions test). The mechanic will tell you how to fix the problem, but they will charge you an arm and a leg to find out. Best bet would be to go to advance or autozone, have it scanned for free and come back here with the CEL Code and we can go from there.
i know its sounds weird but some cars if you dont close the gas cap right it will give you a CEL i read in the manual and saw it happen to my friends bmw
i know what you mean man having take it back when you just paid cause you thought you had it fixed,, i was there too many times,,thats why i do all my work myself ill dissapoint myself or make myself proud, but i always get it right at the end

Yep, this can happen. Make sure your cap is tightened 2-3 clicks and after a little bit of driving, see if the light turns off. If not, unplug your battery ground. Drive around for a bit, and if it comes back on, then go get it scanned.
