my gsr will throw a check engine light everytime i drive it hard now. once it throws the CEL, my fuel cut is at like 6. if i turn the car off and let it sit, the CEL goes away. wats wrong with it? is it becuz of the excessive heat?

 

Get the code read so you know which one it is....can have this done free at most local auto parts stores.

 

sounds like a timing problem, the car deasnt want you to rev past 6k to protect itself
