Changing the PCV!!!
So I finally decide to change that thing after putting 140K miles on it because didn't really pay attention to it until now. Anyways, from what I know, it is an L shape thing that is behind the black hose of the valve cover correct? My car is a 99 LS BTW. So to change this stupid thing, is it just like changing the hose by pulling out the old one and replace it with a new one without any other things needed? So what do I need to do this job? Any tool, glove, etc???
Also, how can check to see if my spark plugs are bad? I bought my MSD and used it for about 2 years putting around 45k in it. Does anyone suggest I should change it anyway? It is kind of pricey though. I don't to change it unless I have to.
Thanks for any helps guy.

To change the PCV valve:
1. Loosen the clip/clamp. (Plier or screwdriver depending the the existing clip on it.)
2. Pull hose off PCV valve. (No tool necessary.)
3. Pull out PCV valve. (No tool necessary.)
4. Install is reverse of removal.
Just remove the sparkplugs and check the condition. If oily, covered with alot of carbon, electrode cracked, then replace.

Ok, I have a problem. First of all, the PCV is the L piece that is connect to a hose which goes behind on top of the valve cover right? If that is the piece, damn, I can not take that ****. It is seems like it built into the hose but I can see that is connects to it. Does anyone know what is the best way to get it out?
Also, I bought the new PCV at AutoZone and it seems like that piece is a little bigger than my oem one. Is it suppose to be like that? I think it will still fit but it just looks odd that the new one is not the same size as my oem one.
Thanks for any help.

Are you able to pull the PCV out of the rubber grommet on top of the valve cover?
If so, after you loosen the clamp on the connecting hose, hold the hose with one hand, and grab the PCV with the other and wiggle the hose or PCV back and forth while pulling.
The PCV you bought should be identical. Make sure it is correct.

Hi guys. I barely pass my smog today and thanks to those who had helped me how to change the PCV because it was actually part of the smog. Anyways, now that is out the way, I need to ask you guys where can i buy good motor mounts? I have used mine oem for about 140K miles and I think it is about time to change them. Anyways, I think dealer is asking for $45 a piece.
Also, I notice two days ago that my car started to vibrate whenever I stop from a high speed. From personal experienced, I remembered that vibration cause from bad rotors or unbalance. Is this true???
Thanks for any help.
