changing final drives?
Final drive, flywheel, clutch, and LSD upgrades are probably some of the most worthwhile upgrades you can ever get for your car. There's no tuning, or extreme maintenance schedule that you have to keep to make the car happy and fast. It's pretty much just a get-it-right-the-first-time kinda thing.
I've only got a ACT HD-SS and Toda flywheel, and it definitely feels much faster than before.
Considering each one of those items costs roughly $400, you'll be easily be $1200 in the hole, not including the other stuff you'll wanna replace while the tranny is off.
Oh yeah...cost breakdown for justifying the ITR tranny.
ITR tranny : - $1300
JDM FD : - $400
Clutch : - $400
Flywheel : - $400
Total: - $2100 + misc other costs
GS-R Tranny : + $800?
Total debt: - $1300 + misc other costs
The only benefit of the ITR tranny is that the gearing is tighter b/w gears and it already comes with an LSD.
I thought you were selling your car?
