Default changed pads to AEM .....

After changing my brake pads to the AEM pads my brake squeak alittle during start up. After the car is driving a couple of miles the brakes are quiet. Does anyone know what I can do to keep my brakes quiet?

Did you cover the back of your pads with that red/orange goo? I think its called 'Disk Brake Quiet'.. usually does the trick.

Nope, you can probably do 5-10 brake jobs with one bottle/tube. Just make sure to let it dry for a bit.

I have AEM pads, I never used the goo, they squeaked for about 500 miles. Then it stopped.

my experience also.. Since then, I have used the supplied 'goo' and haven't had any other issues.. If it doesn't come in the box (like the AEMs/Hawks) u can pick it up at your local parts palace..

nothing to brag about. good stock replacement, and they dust a little bit more. at least the dust is silvery so you won't notice it too much if you have stock rims if you're looking for something performance oriented, look elsewhere

Well I got the orange goo stuff and the brakes are quieter. It really weird when I start the car in the cold morning they queak alittle but as I drive a few blocks the noise stops. I'm never changing my pads myself again.

i have EBC green...they stop great (especially cold) and for my street uses dont fade.....havent used em on the track yet though...but street they are excellent, if you do a lot of hard braking though the life on them might not be too long, but at $59 thats not too bad.....but, they lie...they dust like a ****....more than the stock pads and its very evident that they do so....i mean, they dust.....they are a performance pad so it should be expected.

Is your car still stopping? j/k

I think they finally "broke-in". Pretty normal behavior, I think....anyone care to back me up on this?
