Default CEL Code 92, Purge Flow

I went to that c-speedracing site and tripped up the wire with a paperclip.
The CEL light gave me a code of 92, which is
"Evaporative Emission Control System insufficient purge flow"

I took it to shop a few weeks ago and they told me it had "low flow", so he tightened the gas cap and after a few minutes I restarted the car and the light
went off. 2 days later the lights on again, so this time I got the CEL Code.

Does anyone know what insufficient purge flow is? A search came up empty on this problem as well as CEL 92.
Could it be a new gas cap? I have a stock one in now.
I need to get a smog check in 2 weeks and it won't pass with an Emission problem
or a lit CEL. Thx for the help.

i have the same freaking problem.

the dealer told me that it was the purge cannistor in the bottom of the car... they said that the car is too low, and that when somthing hits it, it can set off the cel.

i dont know about that. but, i guessing the somthing is fuking the purge flow. so i either need to replace the canistor, or whatever is causing the restrictiong of the flow.....

i cant find the purge cannister, and i also need help on this ****......

i need to find it, so i can trace all the hose or whatever the is connected to it.

its prolly the skinny silicon wires it connected. those wires are the same diameter from the outside, but the inside are hella small. maybe thats causing the restriction of flow to the purge..... i dont know.

Did you try a new gas cap?
Couldn't the dealer sell you a new cannistor?

look under your battery, there is a black plastic roudn looking canister, that is your EVAP canister...it has 2 vac lines, one connected to the EVAp sensor on top of your Intake manifold...

most of the time, you need a new canister, but repalcing gas cap would be my first suggestion before you repalce all the canister,....

FYI: there are also other possibilities, such as EVAP 2 nd 3 way valve and other valves around the fuel tank as well, but I'd start with gas cap, canister, canister 2 way valve and so on..
